Estimator

We are looking for an individual who:

• is analytical, organized, and customer oriented
• is accomplished at preparing detailed cost estimates from concept designs and documentation
• has a good understanding of welding techniques and procedures
• has develop accurate material, labour and subcontract take-offs
• has had exposure to AutoCAD
• has sound computer skills
• has an excellent command of the english language, strong communication skills - oral and written
• has strong attention to detail
• is self motivated with exceptional organizational and time management skills
• has the ability to work accurately under pressure
• is adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines
• has the ability to work with others as a team
• has direct experience in the steel fabrication industry as it applies to all or most of the aspects of estimating, design, tendering, fabrication, project management and job costing
• has a practical background, with a sound knowledge of the steel fabricators’ trade
• has an educational background in steel fabrication/engineering/drafting could be an asset
• posses an assertive and fast paced approach toward work activities and the ability to communicate a sense of urgency to others
• is able to work with goals and deadlines and cope with a wide variety of projects simultaneously
• is able to get involved in-depth with the people and the business
• has strong contractual, organizational, planning and estimating skills
• is able to rapidly develop trust and respect with the workforce, customers and existing management
• has proven customer service skills and abilities.
